Research notes
Introduced by Roth circa 1876 and remained in production until circa 1940. This cartridge has a sharper shoulder that the similarly named German 9.8x45R MB case (MB53) which is more gradual, although it is not yet confirmed that this (MB52) and the MB53 are in actual fact two different cartridges It was listed by Hirtenberger until WW2.
