Research notes
Introduced circa 1880 and it remained in production until about 1900. It is based on the Werndl base and was identified as G. Roth case number 73 from a cartridge board found in a Czech museum. It was not listed in any Roth catalogue and it is unknown if it is a rifle or pistol calibre. Keller listed a 9.8x31R pistol cartridge in their 1901 catalogue.
