Research notes
From a note in the IAA Journal 466:25 (March/April 2009). The VBR-B 7.92x24mm caliber was first developed in Belgium by Rik Van Bruaene on 14 April 2005 as a new defence cartridge for a PDW (Personal Defensive Weapon) with the first official pressure measurements and range/proof tests being carried out at the Belgian Proof House for Firearms at Liege on 31 October 2006. The 7.92 VBR-B cartridge make use of a special projectile technology which is patented in Belgium by the Belgian Patent BE 1015378.
