Research notes
An interesting .700” cartridge to come out of an old Denel collection. The cartridge is fabricated on a 12.7mm BMG case. The primer pocket has been modified to accept a 5.7mm primer. Bullet Ø17.75mm (.700”), Rim Ø20.35-20.45mm, Belt Ø 20.25mm, Case Ø19.95mm, Case mouth Ø 18.60mm, Case length 96.8mm. I am still looking for additional information regarding the development of this round.
