Research notes
The 585 Nyati was developed by US gun writer Ross Seyfried in 1990 to provide hunters at the time with a more cost effective, high powered alternative to the expensive double rifles available. Nyati means buffalo in various African dialects. The 585 Nyati is based on the 577 Nitro case but with a rebated rim.
