Research notes
Not entirely sure about this one. According to the lists, the 400 Jeffery 3" was never loaded as a Nitro for Black cartridge. There is also no mention in Fleming about a Lead RN paper patched load. It might be a shortened 3¼" case. The bullet is not crimped in the case and the load is cordite with a cardboard wad.
