Research notes
Target rifle for the Peabody target rifle that was used under licence by the Providence Tool Company which made the 11.43x55R Turkish military rifle. The head of the 3 What Cheer cartridges are also the same as for the Turkish military cartridge. The cartridges were named after the “What Cheer” rifle range near Providence, Rhode Island. This cartridge has the longest of the paper patched lead bullets of the three.
