Research notes
A French wildcat, developed by by Alain Cartry for use in modified .30-06 Springfield rifles that allowed it's use in France for sporting purposes. He disassembled the Springfield, reduced the screw pitch 2,5 mm so that it would chamber a shorter version of the .30-06 cartridge and then re-assembled the weapon. The 60,8 mm case length version of the .30-06 cartridge is known as the .30-06 C.C. or "Cartry Court" meaning "30-06 Cartry Short". This cartridge was registered by CIP in December 1995. This is a borderline Wildcat cartridge being produced commercially by NOLASCO from ex-Winchester and Remington .30-06 cases. The first specimen is an orginal loaded round. The CC overstrike is for Court Cartry and the NL is for NOLASCO.
