Research notes
The 11.2 X 60 SCHÜLER (MAUSER) was based on the 11.15x60R M71 Mauser military cartridge and utilised a rebated rim which is the diameter of the M88 Mauser. The cartridge was produced from about 1904 until WW2. Headstamps of D.R.G.M. represent the actual rimless rebated case type that was the subject of the German Patent D.R.G.M 239127 granted on 31 October 1904. D.R.G.M or Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz means protected patented design under the Reich Government. August Schüler was a German gunsmith from Suhl and he utilised the rebated rim in some of his cartridge designs.
