Research notes
Known from packets on which were written ‘Special Sorte” containing cases that are designated M50/11e packed in 1929. According to the stamp on the packet, these were never offered in catalogues, being outside the production programme of the company and manufactured on customer request. These are likely to have been a production of the 11x50R Stahl cases produced by RWS on request after Stahl was no longer in business. (WB Dixon)
